It’s full of beans. Cheddar cheese and Fritos are a hard requirement.
Ingredients
- 4 cans of dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1 can Italian style chopped tomatoes
- 1 lb ground beef, optional
- Paprika (2 tsp)
- Cumin (2 tbsp)
- Chili powder to taste
- Oregano (2 tbsp)
- Brown sugar (2 tbsp at least or until somewhat sweet)
- Salt to taste (2 tsp)
- Pepper (1 tsp)
- Shredded cheddar cheese for topping
- Fritos for topping
Step 1 – Sautee The Goods
In a large pot, sautee onions over medium heat with unsalted butter. If you are also cooking ground beef, add it with the onions.
Add garlic when onions are translucent.
Step 2 – Add The Goods
Add kidney beans, tomato soup (also add just 1 can of water total), and chopped tomatoes. Next, add all the spices.
Bring to a boil, then bring to a simmer.
