Just don’t use the fuckin’ jar sauce – Nat’s What I Reckon, 2020
Ingredients
- 16 oz pasta of choice
- 1 can of CENTO Tomatoes Peeled With Basil Leaf San Marzano – 28 Oz (see image)
- 1 medium white onion, chopped
- 5-7 cloves of garlic, sliced
- ~10 leaves of basil, or a regular handful
- CENTO Tomato paste – Not required – can be handy if you want more tomato-ey sauce
The Process
Step 1 – Create Sauce
Sautee onions until translucent, about 20 minutes. Then, add garlic to cook for a few minutes.
After they are cooked, add basil, tomatoes and tomato paste and cook to a boil for about 5 minutes or until tomatoes become soft. Begin cooking pasta at this point.
Once soft, blend the mixture using an emulsion blender or whatever blending method you like.
Step 2 – Cook Pasta
While the sauce is cooking, cook your pasta.
Step 3 – Enjoy
It’s really that easy. Takes prob 30 minutes total for fresh food.
